Detailed Design of “Closed Portion of Underpass” for Sarita Vihar Clover Leaf Project
M/s Valecha has engaged M/s Egis India Consulting Pvt. Ltd. as the consultants for preparation of the detailed designs and working drawings including BOQ for the closed portion of underpass for Sarita Vihar Clover Leaf Project using diaphragm wall.
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has proposed to connect Sarita Vihar, Delhi to Okhla by providing an underpass below existing railway line. The portion within railway boundary is under construction by Railway authority using box pushing technique. DDA has engaged M/s Valecha to construct the underpass except railway portion. Conventional open cut/bottom-up technique was adopted for constructing the underpass. However, M/s Valecha has faced problems to construct the underpass using open cut since it is time consuming. M/s Valecha have proposed alternate construction method for closed portion of underpass by top-down construction using diaphragm wall. DDA has approved the top-down construction technique in the interest of project.
