Egis to sponsor Intra City Transportation Systems Conference in New Delhi
The intra-city transportation sector in India has seen a lot of activity in the past couple of years on the back of a robust policy framework and over Rs 1,200 billion worth of investments in existing and planned projects in the next five years. Given that urban transportation investments have the potential to trigger direct and indirect economic benefits of 1 per cent to 6 per cent of the GDP, these initiatives open up new opportunities for industry and other stakeholders.
The relatively nascent stage of development of the metro/ rail and bus based mass transit systems in India necessitate a platform to exchange ideas and dispense information. To facilitate the creation of this forum, Egis would be the lead sponsor for the third annual conference on “Intra City Transportation Systems: New Opportunities, Projects and Technology” on July 27-28, 2010, at Hyatt Regency , New Delhi organized by the India Infrastructure Publishing group.
