National Cyclone Risk Mitigation Project – Third Party Quality Audit

Egis International in JV with Egis India has been appointed as the Consultant to assist the PIU- National Cyclone Risk Mitigation Project (NCRMP), Revenue (DM) Department for Third Party Quality Audit of the NCRMP in Andhra Pradesh under Phase I.

The Government of India, through the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has applied for a credit of US$ 255 Million from the International Development Association (IDA) towards the cost of National Cyclone Risk Mitigation Project (NCRMP). Total investment for Phase I in Andhra Pradesh is about INR 669 crore which includes construction of 55 multipurpose cyclone shelters, 102 roads to cyclone shelters (length 198.82 km), 81 roads to habitations (length 95.86 km) by the Panchayat Raj Engineering Department and two roads (length 19.5 km) & nine bridges by the Roads & Buildings Department. The works are spread over nine coastal districts in Andhra Pradesh viz., Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Visakhapatnam, East Godavari, West Godavari, Krishna, Guntur, Prakasam and Nellore.
