Pre-bid Traffic and Engineering Studies for Six Laning of NH-4 fromWalajahpet to Poonamallee

(a) Primary objective of the traffic study is to estimate the AADT, growth rates for traffic in project road, travel pattern of users, risks involved and expected revenues;
(b) Basic Engineering Studies including preliminary design and estimate as per scope.
The project corridor starts at intersection of NH-4 with Chennai bypass at Km 13.800 to Walajahpet at km 106.800. The total length of the project corridor is 93 km. It traverses through Kanchipuram and Vellore districts of Tamil Nadu. The important towns and settlements along the project corridor are Sriperumbudur, Kanchipuram &Walajahpet. Sriperumbudur is an industrial area housing Hyundai Car manufacturing plant, &many IT majors.
