The 3-lane undivided carriageway configuration originates from NH-8A at Bagodara and runs south-eastward through plain terrain through urban settlements of Wataman and Tarapur establishing fairly straight connection with Vasad on NH 8, some 22 km north-west of Vadodara, the cultural capital of Gujarat. The Project Highway bypasses the megacity of Ahmedabad and provides a shorter and preferable route connecting west Gujarat and south Gujarat.
