Consultancy for Medium and minor projects in Narmada river basin in Madhya Pradesh
On 28 th October 2009 Egis India (EI) signed a contract with Narmada Valley Development Authority (NVDA) for improvements to various medium and minor schemes over a culturable command area of 160,000 Hectares involving identification, survey, preparation of Detailed Project Report and detailed estimates of medium and minor projects in NARMADA BASIN, Madhya Pradesh. RMSI, Delhi is a partner in the study to support the mapping component.
The study leads to preparing a WATERUSE of entire sub-basin as integrated planning incorporating existing and proposed projects. The major components of the study are
a) Techno feasibility studies of medium and minor Irrigation and multipurpose projects are prepared for the Narmada Basin.
b) Detailed Sub basin plans are available for implementation after preparation of detailed project reports which will include field investigations and testing over an area of 160,000 hectares
c) The project area and proposed improvements are to be marked on a high resolution satellite image.
d) Obtaining approvals/clearances/sanctions from different Ministries of GOI /GOMP.
e) Obtaining Investment Clearance from Planning Commission GOI/GOMP including providing any additional information / data required for investment clearance from Planning commission/State Planning Board
The approved detailed plan reports for the entire basin will assist the client in the Integrated water use planning and the projects to be taken up for large scale Irrigation improvement in the project area. Egis India will carry out all the major components of the study with mapping support from RMSI.
