Construction Supervision of 86 Km 4 lane national highway
The Allahabad bypass is part of the Delhi-Kolkata corridor being constructed under the National Highway Development Project, a 5,500-km initiative of the Government of India to link with a 4-lane highway the 5 main metropoles of India.
The project involves the construction of 86 km of 4-lane national highway, with a cement concrete pavement, on a totally new alignment. The embankment will be built for a 6-lane highway, for future widening purposes. The road stretch lies in plain terrain. 32 bridges, for a total length of 3,500 m have to be constructed along the alignment. For environmental reasons, use of fly-ash is implemented for construction of the embankment.
Construction is executed by two national contractors, each responsible for half the stretch.
