  • Traffic and Transportation Studies including - Origin & Destination Survey, Classified Traffic Volume Count, Intersection Turning Movement Count, Boarding and Alighting Survey, Pedestrian Surveys, Public Transport and Passengers Survey, Public/Passenger Opinion Survey, Speed and Delay Studies, Parking Studies, Road Inventory.
  • Engineering Surveys including - Topographic Surveys, Topographic survey for major and minor intersections, Bridge Inventory & Investigation, Pavement Investigation, and Utility Surveys.

Engineering Concept Plan - Design Criteria and General layout plan prepared with provisions of Bus Station (central platform, bus box etc.)

  • Developed two Alternative Options for BRT System on proposed corridors based on available RoW with various possible alternative treatments of traffic management, advantages and disadvantages of each cross section developed, LA and R&R cost estimates for the ease of decision-making and to avoid large scale acquisition of land/built-up properties.
  • Existing public and para transport system analyzed and a Public Transport System has been proposed on basis of system parameters and support system viz. user-friendly bus stops, well connected feeder system, priority signal etc.
  • Corridor wise Travel Demand estimates and Forecasting has been done on the basis of planning parameters.
  • Adequate Traffic Engineering and Management measures are being recommended.
  • Proposals and design for widening of roads, intersections improvements, rehabilitation of cross-drainage structures including two new ROBs.
  • Plan, profile and longitudinal section of Highways designed for all four corridors.
  • Alternate pavement design and composition assessed and suitable one adopted as per IRC codes.
  • A Relocation Plan for the utilities is to be prepared.
  • Based on international experience and specific constraints in project area, state-of-the-art elements of BRT System (running ways, Stations, Vehicle, ITS application, Service and Operations Plan- Running time and service levels, Fleet estimation etc.) has been designed for Bhopal.
