General consultancy Services for Chennai Metro Rail Project, Phase-1

 

Chennai Metro Rail Project, Phase-I consists of two corridors. Corridor-1 is from Washermanpet to Airport via Chennai Central and Mount Road, for 23.085 km 14.30 km of which is underground and the balance elevated. There are 18 stations in this corridor, 11 underground and 7 elevated.

Corridor-2 is from Chennai Central to St. Thomas Mount via Anna Nagar and CMBT for 21.961 km out of which 9.695 km are underground and the balance elevated. There are 18 stations, 9 underground and 9 elevated.

GC will prepare bid design and provide all necessary assistance in evaluation, negotiations (if necessary) of bids invited by CMRL and award of contracts.

GC will review the DPR and the designs, render all necessary assistance to CMRL in the selection of contractors, suppliers, manufacturers and detailed design consultants.

GC will carry out construction/erection supervision at all levels including contract administration, safety, quality and environmental aspects, co-ordinate, review/monitor the efforts of all contractors, consultants, suppliers and manufacturers, plan for O&M, frame Operation and Maintenance Manuals.

GC will plan and arrange for training of personnel of CMRL deployed for operation and maintenance of various equipments and plants at the suppliers’ premises. Plan; Streetscape and Landscape.
