> Description du projet

Consultancy Service For Flood Vulnerability Assessment Of Four Major Urban Agglomeration

The objectives of the Study are to:

  • Assess the flooding hazard risk for each of the four major cities of the state viz. Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara and Rajkot (municipal corporation area plus urban development authority area) and the extent of vulnerability;
  • Quantify the risks emanating from the vulnerability assessed for each of these cities; and to
  • Provide a set of recommendations, which would help reduce/eliminate the flooding vulnerability/risk. The solutions recommended should as far as possible be linked with the existing master plans which, when implemented over a period of time, will give city managers an edge in handling flooding situations (such as cloudburst / river overflow / dam burst / cyclone / storm surge / tsunami).
