The IInd ring road is to be formed in 150m right of ay to urban expressway design standards as a dual four lane carriageway with service roads on either side and provision of railway line. It comprises 5 Nos Partial cloverleaf and 15 Nos. rotary interchanges. A total of 380 structures have been proposed, which include 166 box culverts, 115 slab culverts, 3 ROBs, 40 underpasses, 35 minor and 2 Major bridges.

> Description des services fournis

Desing, Field Studies, Topographic & Traffic Survey

The services shall comprise:

  • Day to day liaising with Client and other departments (PCB, forest, revenue) for finalisation of road corridor, route selection.
  • Development of an environmental and social impact assessment.
  • Detailed topographic surveys, field studies and analysis, traffic surveys and analysis; pavement designs.
  • Design Terrain Modeling (DTM) for horizontal alignment and vertical profile, bill of quantities using MX as a computer aided design tool
  • Preparation of strip plans, land acquisition plans, alignment plans, longitudinal sections following a detailed hydrological study in order to strictly optimize the earthworks and structures, and cross section drawings. The recommendations included provision of guardrails in the median, provision of lighting
  • Comparative study of alternative conceptual plans for all interchanges as per site suitability, and suitable for the proposed levels of traffic. Several sites had heavy land acquisition constraints and the design had to undergo major optimization.
  • Design of 35 interchanges for all road crossings; high embankment design, slope protection works; cross drainage works. This required the development of new standards for the accesses.
  • Development of the access system, including the service roads, and proposing an overall architecture for the network covering the Outer ring road, the existing inner ring road as well as radial main roads, including an assessment of the traffic patterns in the area.
  • Structural and pavement design.
  • recommendation for the construction of noise barriers at required locations
  • Design re-view with Client Engineers and Technical Advisor Group.
