Construction Supervision Services for Upgrading Seven existing state Highways
The project involves construction supervision services for upgrading (widening and strengthening) the seven existing state highways (3.75m/5.5m wide) to standard two-lane roads (7 m wide) with 2.5-m-wide shoulders, one on each side. The total length of the roads is 323 km and the works are divided into 3 contracts, procurement of which will be done through International Competitive Bidding. The project also involves building 18 new bridges and widening another 18 bridges as well as building 6 footbridges.
Project Management Services
The services mainly consist in work supervision as the "Engineer" and include:
review of designs, at commencement of works, approval of the contractor's work programme, resource level and safety precautions, handing over of the site, setting-up of supervisory and quality control systems, works supervision, including quality control and certification of interim payments, preparation of monthly progress reports, preparation of variation orders, as required, inspection of the works at substantial completion, supervision of outstanding and repair works and issuance of completion certificates, preparation of as-built drawings, preparation of contract completion reports.
