Upgrading and Construction of 4 - Lane Highways
As part of the National Highway Development Programme (NHDP), the National Highway Authority of India provides financing for the supervision of widening works on highways located in the States of Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. The scope of work involves strengthening of the existing 2-lane carriageway and widening to 4/6 lanes.
The project is located in the Yavatmal district in the state of Maharashtra, on National Highway 7 (NH 7), is part of the route connecting Nagpur to Hyderabad. The project is basically comprised of the upgrading and construction of 4-lane highways with flexible pavement, flexible overlay over the existing pavement after widening, construction of bridges and culverts, high embankment/elevated structures, along with existing highways including realignment and bypasses.
The project road section 52 km 2/4 lane (km 123.00 to km 175.00) is subdivided into the following contract packages:
· NS-61 (MH) – km 123.00 to km 153.00

Review of DPR & Project Management Services
In Joint Venture with AARVEE, BCEOM was awarded the contract for the following:
· review of the detailed project report,
· construction supervision for proper implementation of the project within the time schedule,
· review of concrete and bituminous mix designs
· at the commencement of works, approval of the contractor's work programme, resource allocation and safety precautions, handing over of the site, setting-up of supervisory and quality control systems,
· quality control and certification of interim payments,
· preparation of monthly progress reports,
· preparation of variation orders, as required,
· preparation of as-built drawings,
· preparation of contract completion reports,
· certifying payments in respect of quality and quantity,
· ensuring project planning, monitoring, reporting and financial management,
· review and implementation of the safety plan,
· identification of training needs and preparation of a training programme,
on-the-job training and training assessment
