Monitoring of Project Activities

 

Under the assignment "Providing assistance in Management of UPWSRP activities and development of Project Management and Monitoring Information System (PMMIS), the DHV Consultants has developed PMMIS software which has been deployed and demonstrated at PACT Data Center. Also the requisite officers and staff of UPID including the PACT have been trained in operation of PMMIS application software. Further, a live demonstration of this software also has been done in PACT.

The objective of the consultancy services is carrying out periodic monitoring of project activities being implemented in the project area under UPWSRP. The purpose of the consultancy is to monitor the progress of various project activities on a regular basis so as to observe the changes with time and in respect to the overall project objectives. The key indicators as decided under the projects shall be taken into account while carrying out the monitoring.

Monitoring & Scheduling

 

Use of standard subject specific survey and field assessment technique based on models of estimation, Use PRA techniques such as resource mapping, seasonality, Venn diagram, transect walk, etc

  • Conventional Survey techniques (Questionnaire, Group discussions, focus group and individual interactions (For this the Consultant team will hire local people / NGOs).
  • Workshop of consultant team members for preparation of advance Summary findings and outline of final Concurrent Evaluation Report

A suitable and meaningful monitoring and evaluation systems will be designed to improve the timeliness and quality of the information available on implementation and operation, thereby improving the planning of future project processes. The monitoring plan will include

 

· the schedule of key monitoring inputs and the skill mix required

· specialist staff input for various tasks

· aspects of the project that require special attention during supervision

· monitoring efforts

· measures for improving data collection systems; and data and reports, and the timing of their submission
