Project overview

The proposed expressway is a 4-lane (expandable to 6-lane) access controlled, greenfield expressway project of approx. 294 km length. The project starts at Km 266.6 of NH 76/new NH 35 (Varanasi- Banda road), near Bharatkoop and ends at Agra-Lucknow Expressway near village Kudrail in Etawah district. The proposed expressway passes through; Chitrakoot, Banda, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jalaun, Auraiya and Etawah districts in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

Our missions

The main objectives of the consultancy service is to undertake feasibility study and prepare a ‘Project Report’ of the expressway for the purpose of firming up the authority’s requirements in respect of development and construction of project expressway and project facilities and enabling the prospective bidders to assess the Authority’s in a clear and predictable manner and to implement the project on selected mode through “Developer(s)/Contractor(s)” by the competitive bidding process. The objective includes the followings

  • establish the technical, economical, and financial viability of the project and prepare detailed project reports for development of project roads as 4 lane (expandable to 6 lane) access controlled  expressway;
  • conduct adequate surveys and engineering investigations for collection and submission of the required supporting data for the detailed designs as per relevant IRC standards / good engineering practice;
  • carry out detailed traffic studies and traffic projections;
  • preparation of detailed designs / drawings of all elements of road, pavement, junctions, structures, culverts, road furniture etc. for the detailed project report;
  • social and environmental action plans;
  • economic and financial viability analysis and preferred mode of implementation;
  • value engineering, quality audit and safety audit requirement in design and implementation. Preparation of BOQ cum detailed Cost Estimates with supporting data;
  • preparation of bidding document of the project on selected mode

 Key Points

  • Expressway will connect Bundelkhand region to New Delhi through the Agra-Lucknow Expressway and Yamuna Expressway
  • Will provide opportunity to youths of the region to get good access to other parts of the country for livelihood, which will shorten commutation time 
  • Will provide access to proposed Defence Corridor (10,000 acres), proposed along this Expressway. This will generate around 2.50 lakhs employment to youths which shall minimize the migration on large scale
  • Will facilitate easy implementation of  various Government Schemes in one of the most neglected part of State
  • Will facilitate government to tap natural resource of the region
