Design & Construction Supervision of Heliport at Rohini, Delhi, India

Egis in India has been engaged by Pawan Hans Helicopters Ltd. (PHHL) to provide consultancy services for the design, procurement assistance & construction supervision, inclusing testing and commissioning of India's first heliport at Rohini on the outskirts of Delhi.

Project overview

Egis is presently engaged in designing, supervising and managing the heliport project for PHHL at a site in Rohini, Delhi. The design work has been completed, procurement assistance has been extended to the client to select contractor on Design-Build basis. Egis is presently reviewing detailed drawings prepared by the contractor as well as supervising construction activities at site. The project scope includes Passenger Terminal Building (PTB), four hangers with Maintenance, repair and Overhaul (MRO) facility, Fire Station, ATC tower, utility buildings, rigid pavements for FATO & Apron Parking, watch towers, security wall with fencing, perimeter road and (outside) car park.

The responsibility for the entire program management lies with Egis, including obtaining statutory clearances, liaising with aviation-related government agencies like Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS), Delhi Development Authority (DDA), Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) (for overall testing & commissioning as well as for Air Traffic Control), Ministry of Environment & Forest (MoEF), etc. The project is scheduled for completion by early 2016.
