Project overview

As part of the development plan of Jawaharlal Nehru Port, the Port Trust has decided to undertake Development of Phase II of Fourth Container Terminal at Jawaharlal Nehru Port on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (DBFOT) Basis. As Independent Engineer, Egis shall provide engineering consultancy services towards the development of the Terminal. Egis shall review designs & drawings, construction methodology and monitoring progress schedule furnished by the Concessionaire.

Our missions

Egis would offer high-quality solutions and implement new state-of-the-art techniques to help the port achieve international quality of construction and commissioning.The main components of the project are:

  • 1,000 metres of Berth length
  • Approach trestles
  • Reclamation (110 Hactres)
  • Container stackyard, internal roads, parking area
  • Requisite buildings and workshops
  • Platform for Container handling equipments (12 RMQC, 36 RTGC, 4 RMGC, 120 Tractor trailer)
  • Utilities including IT systems, environmental safeguards etc.
  • Area for Capital dredging in manoeuvring area (-13.1m CD)
  • Area for Capital dredging in berth pockets (-16.5m CD)
  • ~ 12 lane connecting road (4.8 km) connecting the port to Nhava Sheva Police Station
  • Rail Container Depot for evacuation by Rail
