Egis in India has been engaged by Omnibus Industrial Development Corporation (OIDC), Government of Daman, Diu, Dadra & Nagar Haveli (UT), Government of India to prepare feasibility study, Detailed Project Report (DPR) and thereafter supervise the construction of minor port, fishing harbours and aquatic recreational infrastructure facilities for tourism at Daman and Diu.

Project overview

The project entails carrying out detailed feasibility study & DPR for the provision of a minor port at Daman for use by mid-sized cargo ships,  and fishing harbours at Daman and Diu to augment the present, unplanned jetties & wharfs being used by the local fishermen. The scope also included exploring the feasibility of providing water-based recreational facilities for tourists at Daman and Diu, such as water ski, water scooters, floating restaurants, river cruise, speed boats etc. Detailed feasibility study for this project has been completed and work on the DPR is yet to begin, pending formal approval of the feasibility study report by the client. Scope also includes supervision of all the construction activities at a later stage.
