Chaudhary Charan Singh (C.C.S.) International Airport serves to connect the city passengers to major Indian cities and Middle Eastern countries. Since 2008, the airport has seen a passenger traffic growth @ CAGR of 19.6%. The airport has two terminals. Terminal 1 - The original terminal is now used for international flights after the opening of Terminal 2. It has two arrival and three departure gates as well as two immigration counters. The new Terminal 2 has five boarding gates and is used for domestic flights.
Airport Authority of India (AAI) proposes to expand the capacity of the airport by increasing the size of the airport by 100,000 sqm (proposed Terminal 3) with the vision to cater to the passenger traffic growth for the next 20 years.
The objective of this project is to deliver a world class passenger terminal building and associated infrastructure which has the following components:
Egis will provide services from concept to commissioning i.e. design the passenger terminal concept, prepare tender documents, assist Airport Authority of India in selection of contractor and carry out construction project management and supervision.
