The company, which operates in the road, railway, airport and smart city sectors in India, is looking to enter healthcare, tourism and nuclear energy here, CEO Laurent Germain told ET in an interview.
Egis has announced to open a design centre in Gurgaon, India. The centre would cater to the Group's international businesses. The design centre of Egis in India will get the opportunity to work on global projects, to get the best of training and skill development on the best-in-class projects located outside of India as well.
Bullish on Indian infrastructure sector, French engineering consulting firm Egis has drawn up a €75-million investment plan for India to fund growth through both organic and inorganic routes in the next five years. Since it set up base 25 years ago, it has invested around the same amount in India till now.
The other areas of investment for the company in India includes metro train projects, high speed and semi-high speed train corridors, dedicated freight corridors, rural water projects and healthcare sector
